Products with Multiple Revisions
In some industries precise tracking and control of multiple revisions is required. Ezijobz handles this in the following ways.
- In the bill of material you can set up unlimited "methods". Each method is a unique set of bill of material and routing specs that can correspond to a particular revision. When you create a job, you can specify which method you wish to use, in which case that method's bill of material copies into the job details.
- As an alternative to multiple methods, you can set up job templates for each revision. When you create a new job, you can copy in the job details from a job template. There is no limit to the number of job templates that can be set up.
- Ezi-Track Inventory lets you set up revisions as a tracking characteristic so that you have complete control over which revisions are in stock.
